Why I Know I Am Going To Heaven

1. I found that God loved me, expressing His love in the gift of His Son.
   "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life" (John 3:16).
2. I found that, because of sin, I was lost and needed to be saved.
   "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23). "Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God" (John 3:3).
3. I found that Christ suffered for my sins that He might bring me to God.
   "For Christ also once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God" (1 Peter 3:18).
4. I found that, by believing on Christ, God gave me everlasting life.
   "He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him" (John 3:36).
5. I found that, if I die, God will take me to be with Christ.
   "For to me to live is Christ, and to die is 'gain ... to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better" (Philippians 1:21, 23).
6. I found that God has an inheritance reserved in heaven for me.
   "God ... hath begotten us ... to an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you" (1 Peter 1:3-4).
